Lean on me

What are we afraid of?
What do we fear
We limit distance
So another may not lean in too much
Disturb  our little paradise.
Some open up. Like Tedi
They canjole, they console, they love with tears and sympathy.
They scold and console with tenderness.
and we:
Cold and constrained in our affections
Never get to feel the tenderiest of feelings
Those that result from allowing another
To be vulnerable around you
